Intranets
An Intranet is simply a web site on your company local area
network. It is a way of organizing your commonly accessed documents,
lists, spreadsheets, policies and procedures as HTML web pages or as
links to those documents. Common items posted on company intranets
include company news/notices, employee phone lists/directories, vacation request forms,
purchase order forms, benefits enrollment, benefits information, shared
calendars, resource/conference room scheduling, training materials...the
possibilities are endless.
